Hello!  There are two new entries in the Clearinghouse database that I
wish to draw to your attention. Both are simply outstanding. (If you are
new to IMAGELIB, check out the Clearinghouse of Image Databases at
http://www.library.arizona.edu/images/clearinghouse/clearinghouse.html)

First is from the Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library: "The Holsinger Studio Collection ." The entry is submitted by Edward Gaynor of the UVA Library with this descriptive information. Within the project is a good deal of detail on the project's technicalities.

DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION: -Name: The Holsinger Studio Collection -Discipline: Photography -Date: 1997 -Material: glass-plate negatives -No. Images: 9000 -Collection Type: library -Access: http://www.lib.virginia.edu/speccol/holsinger/ -Institution: Special Collections Dept., University of Virginia Library -Purpose: Improve access to rare and fragile archival material

The second new entry is from Matt Bernstein, Cambridge University Library, and is "The Life of King Edward the Confessor." It is a medieval manuscript and you have the ability to zoom in great detail on parts of the manuscript.
