    Here at Parks Canada we are beginning a digitization initiative. We already have many of our images digitized, but we are searching for a storage, management and display solution for these images.

    We currently have many sites with image collections. Each of these sites wants to be able to maintain control of their collections on a local database. However, we also wish to link all of these separate databases together in one central repository to facilitate the sharing of information throughout Parks, as well as making some of the images available to the public via the internet.

    I am wondering if anyone has experience with a similar digitization project, and if so, if you used a commercial off-the-shelf software solution, or whether you had a system custom-built. If you did use a commercial product, I would be grateful for any information regarding the product,
