<pre> Kenning, One solution is to mount the negatives onto a colour balanced light box and use a digital camera I would suggest one of the scanning backs such as Phase one or Better light on a 5 X 4 inch camera. This enables you to capture the image in a single pass and also have a very large file to work with in Photoshop. We have done this with both black and white panorama negs and large X-rays of paintings. Our light box is 8 ft X 5 ft. It is important to mask the area around the negative to prevent flare back into the lens Using fluorescent lighting the neg does not get to hot and pop during the exposure. Alternatively tape the neg to a sheet of Opal acrylic and backlight it with a light source that suits the digital camera you may have access to. Good luck
