I am happy to announce the availability of Mission Churches of the Sonoran Desert, the University of Arizona Library's first WWW image exhibit.Mission Churches of the Sonoran Desert offers the viewer a cybertour of one of the treasures of the U.S. Southwest. The text for this exhibit was written by Dr. James S. Griffith of the University of Arizona Library's Southwest Folklore Center and the images are digitized images of slides from Dr. Griffith's collection. Dr. Griffith is a well- known scholar and speaker on Southwestern culture and folklore.
There are 19 .gif thumbnails in the exhibit and you can retrieve a .jpg copy of each by clicking on the thumbnails. The KB size of each retrievable .jpg is provided next to the thumbnails.
