In reply to Joan Hostetler's message about scanning glass negatives -

I can't answer any of you questions, but I have a few of my own. What program are you using to scan glass negatives? I've been trying to scan them using Deskscan II through ImagePals, but I haven't been successful yet. (however, lantern slides seem to scan o.k., though once in a while they blur a bit) Have you come up with a series of settings that seems to work better than others? It doesn't have to be perfect - anything is better than the luck I've had.

The project I work on involves scanning images from the college library so the public scools in the Quad City area may access them. It's limited to a high school and a grade school in specific subjects right now, but eventually we'll expand to where departments outside the library can contribute. In the end, we'll be neyworked through Mosaic.

Thanks, Susan
