VRA LISTSERV INFORMATION
The Visual Resources Association has established an electronic mail bulletin board for the exchange of ideas, questions, and comments. All persons interested in topics relating to all types of visual collections are invited to participate. To subscribe to this listserve send the message: Subscribe VRA-L your full name (e.g.: SUBSCRIBE VRA-L Jane Doe) to mailto:LISTSERV@UAFSYSB.BITNET.
If you ever feel that you may have been accidentally bumped from the list just repeat the subscribing procedure above. If you need to remove you name from the listserv, send the message: SIGNOFF VRA-L to: mailto:LISTSERV@UAFSYSB.BITNET.
For either of these procedures you do not need to include you e-mail address since the LISTSERV records your user ID and node name automatically.
To send a message to your colleagues on the listserv, use the address: mailto:VRA-L@UAFSYSB.BITNET.
Remember that since the message will go out to everyone on the listserv a few "netiquette" rules should apply:
- Always sign your message with your name, institution, and email address.
- Always indicate the subject of your message.
- If you make a request for particular information, ask that responses be sent to you, not to the entire list. When a number of responses are collected, send a summary of the information to the other list members.
