Does anyone out there have any information concerning cataloging rules
and authority files in regards to cataloging industry specific collections?
I maintain two collections, one clipart, another photo, that are specifically
dedicated to a Unix based computer company. I can divide my collections by using
two types of criteria - 1. subject matter specific - and 2. conceptual
The first is relatively easy. The second is more difficult. In my industry
there are concepts such as "networking", "rightsizing", "client/server computing"
and so forth that can be applied to some but not all of the images in the collection
Instead of defining all of these concepts myself, I wonder if there has been
any work done creating cross reference indices, or cataloging rules to help
create a structured database?

Does this make sense to anyone?

You can respond to my address specifically if you wish it is:
