Dear Steve,
It is said that the chief reason for publishing a bibliography is
to get one's name published by generations of dealers as they note
items in their catalogs as "Not in _________." So here are two
"Not in Steve" contributions to your Microsoft history.
WfW (Windows for Workgroups) was a slightly sturdier 3.n with some
pretentions toward networking. I don't know if anyone bought it as an
upgrade or replacement system. It was shipped as the installed OS on
some systems in the mid 90's (e.g.Gateway's)
Bob is probably not well known enough to be Microsoft's most
spectacular flop but it will bring a smile to the lips of those who
have seen it.
Thanks for your efforts to back up our institutional memory.
