Dear Colleagues,

The Preliminary Program for the third annual Museums and the Web meeting is now available at http://www.archimuse.com/mw99/

Over one hundred speakers will present papers, participate in panels, and give demonstrations exploring the issues and opportunities facing museums on the web. Fourteen pre-conference workshops provide in-depth instruction on making and managing cultural web sites.

Speaker's papers will be placed on the conference web site as they are submitted: those from MW97 and MW98 are still online (see http://www.archimuse.com/conferences/mw.html). Proceedings will be published on CD; selected papers will also appear in print.

Many thanks to all who submitted proposals, and to the program committee for their work reviewing them. We're looking forward to the best MW ever.

See you in New Orleans!
