Yes we have.
VTLS uses Oracle's 8i version of Intermedia at several different levels.
a) Index metadata - which then points to images (thumb nails, reference
images, archival images stored in the Unix file system or as Oracle Blobs.)
Our AMICO project is based on this technology.
b) Index metadata and index full test files in .txt and .doc formats to
allow mixed full text and metadata searches.

Subject: Oracle Intermedia for Image Management
Hello all,
I'm curious to know if anyone has used, or knows of any projects that have
used
Oracle's intermedia product for any image or multimedia databases. We are
searching for a solution to manage our image collections (and the associated
metadata) and we are wondering if anyone has any experience with the Oracle
Intermedia product.
Thank you.
