Help!!!!!!
I am relatively new to this listserv (and to imaging in general) and need
some advice. Our library conservator has asked me to give her some
information on digital cameras. She wants to design an imaging system
which can be done on a
copystand using a digital camera to capture the image from original
documents and books which range in size from as small as 2" square or so
to as large as 3 feet or so in length. She does not want to use a
flatbed scanner for many reasons. The main purpose is for preservation
of the originals, but we want to be able to make photographs, slides,
etc. from the caputured images, as well as to do details, etc. For this
reason, she would like to use a high-resolution digital camera.
Is anyone using a digital camera, and if so, which brand and model are
you using? Are you happy with the results?
Thanks to anyone who replies!
