REQUEST: Info on RASTER FILE EDITING PROGRAM and TIFF->RASTER CONV

Subject:      REQUEST: Info on RASTER FILE EDITING PROGRAM and TIFF->RASTER CONV

Is there any software available for the following:


1) Converting TIFF files to RASTER files and


2) Editing RASTER files


working on SUN/UNIX environment. If yes, can somebody
provide info on where I can get them from. Even if
I have to use two different programs/software for
#1 and #2 it's ok (most probably I will have to use
two different ones!).


Please Help!!
