Good Morning Merle, I was given a good artical from Electronic Imaging Magazine ( Vol 38.No9. 1995) concerning watermarks. Check out Digimark In Portland, OR. The artical states that the technology will protect electronic files across any medium. The artical does not seem to be specific about platform, however you can contact them at 503-626-8811 or e-mail to, mailto:info@digimarc.com.In a nutshell,if an image imbedded with this Digimarc pattern is reproduced without permission, and the originator sees the image, it can be torn out of the publication, scanned into a computer with the Digimarc reading technology, and the "Signature" imbedded in the image can be accessed, there by proving ownership. Having not seen the system in action, I cannot vouch for its effectivness, however it seems sound. Check it out! Hope that helps. Jerry

Hi Everybody...I know a while back the subject of watermark software was discussed. Does anyone know of a watermark software that would work on a PC? I am creating a CD-ROM of a photographic collection and to protect the images felt a watermark would be the ideal solution. If this is redundant please email me directly. Thanks.
