We just purchased OmniPage Pro 5.0 for Macintosh. On reading the manuals (briefly) it has built in features that enabling it to handle foreign language and multiliqual documents (I am sure that the IBM version would have the same features). Interestingly, you can also order custom dictionaries from Caere for languages not already included.
