Thanks to those who replied concerning 4D and WWW.  I had an extensive
reply from Greece which noted this topic was discussed on the 4D discussion
list.

Also for those of you who didn't realise what the database is:

4th DIMENSION is a powerful relational database application and development tool for Macintosh. You can create a database structure of files and fields; design layouts for records; search and sort records; create reports and labels; import and export data; and add images as both thumbnail and full screen types. It is also designed for networking with a 4D server.

You can use it at various levels - from a novice to experienced developer. There is a fairly basic model called 4D FIRST.
