This may be old news to this group; but in the thread about using 4th
dimension with a WWW interface, and as an image database system, you might
look into the EmbArk system from DCI in Emeryville, CAlifornia, USA (sorry
that's all the contact info I have on hand right now).

The EmbArk system, as I understand it - we do not currently use it - is an image database system (especially for use as an art collection management system) which uses 4D as its base, and which I also hear will soon have a WWW interface. Dont' quote me on any of this, as I said, we do not use it, but it may be worth checking out, to see if their product can fit your needs, or just to show you what is possible.
