I'm working on an assignment for a graduate school (MLS)
class. The project involves finding out what hardware and
software we would need to digitize and provide access to
a collection of approx. 5000 archival photographs, probably
through the World Wide Web. The library/archive already
uses Macintosh computers and we have a hypothetical
$20,000 (U.S.) to spend. I would appreciate any
recommendations or suggestions about the best we could
get for that amount. The point of the assignment is
to find our what others are doing or using in a particular
situation. In addition, I would welcome any suggestions
of recent (94 or 95) articles on this topic.
Please reply to me directly, unless you think it would
be of interest to others on the list. Thank you for
your help.
