Kodak, and Apple QuickTake are all manufactured by Chinon and all use a chip made by Kodak. The Chinon is a little more versatile. You have a choice of three levels of picture quality, a zoom lens, autofocus, and a PCMCIA slot for additional memory/picture capacity. I think the Kodak has better software, and as I recall, stores more pictures than the stock Chinon (i.e. without purchasing additional cards). We have numerous clients using both cameras and both parties seem equally happy. I personally like the Chinon a tad better. I guess it boils down to your particular needs and desires. Image quality seems to be about the same though the Kodak has a few more pixels in each dimension. But I don't think it is a meaningful difference. Prices are about the same.Hope this helps.
