Howdy folks,
The Museum currently uses Mac for imaging and Radius PressView 21
sr's for matching digital files to chromes. The monitor matches are
predictable using a color management system that utilizes the CIE
space. Trouble is the Radius calibrator creates a 2-D color space not
recognized by the our C.M.S. I have tried the ColorTron , X-Rite and
Gretag Spectrolino (sp?) with OK results but not as good as, in my
opinion, the old calibrated eyeball, when matching transp. to the
viewer.
So, is it the monitor, the software, the meter...what?
I'm just trying to get a handle on profile / calibration. We have
good sources of information, but I would also like to here your
experiences with the above devices.
Thanks for your time...Jerry
