I apologise, if my question was answered many times, but I’m new in the list.
We are working on a project to provide an electronic slide library solution for a fine-art high school. The hardware platform should be
a mixed SUN-UNIX and/or X-terminal, MS Windows PC environment. We are free to choose any other part of the system - input
devices, software , etc. The goal is to be able to manage 35-50 thousand of high quality digitised pictures. It is very important to be
able to describe the slides extensively, and to provide very good search engine. Please let me know about some of your experiences. I
would be happy to know about sites, especially in Europe, where the librarians from the high school would be able to take a look at a
working solution.

Thanks in advance !
