Short Info "Image Finder"The following text contains information about Image Finder, a new image library product. I hope this is of interest to the members of this newsgroup.
Image Finder is a comprehensive software for the management of electronic image archives. It is used by picture agencies, publishers, media companies or any other institutions with large picture stocks.
Pictures can be easily imported into Image Finders database via scanner camera or directly from storage media like CD-ROMs. Image Finders guarantees optimal access to its picture pool by use of versatile keyword functions. The integrated lightbox function offers visually oriented, comfortable editing of picture sets. An easy-to-handle copy and paste mechanism is used to transfer pictures into other applications like QuarkXPress. Image Finders supports numerous administrative functions. Transparent procedures are available to generate and handle e.g. delivery notes, invoices or copyright/licence fee accounting.
The program runs on the Macintosh Power-PC, a Windows-based version will be available by the end of the year.
Image Finder is a joint development of Bertelsmann ZI (a branch of German based media group Bertelsmann AG, 2nd largest in the world) and Docuphot AG (a Swiss company specialized on archive software and services).
