I did change the access for the IMAGELIB listserv a couple weeks ago when I posted the message to the listserv. However, please understand that I do NOT control the Usenet newsgroup version of bit.listserv.imagelib. So spams can come in that way unless and until that door is shut. I've contacted the person who set up the Usenet access about making the change but have not yet heard back from him. He's probably quite busy, maybe he's on vacation or sick. Let's give a chance. He lives/works in the D.C. area and I do not know him personally. I'll keep trying.
I suggest to newer listserv users that when we get spammed, it does you no good to post a message on IMAGELIB asking the spammer to stop it. That person is not on IMAGELIB. that person has initiated a spam that is hitting hundreds or thousands of lists automatically. The delete key is the easiest way to deal with it.
