We charge $1.50 for each scan and 20 cents for each print (We are a public institution and are supposed keep our charges as low as possible for our researchers). We will scan up to 400 dpi which is the maximum optical resolution of our scanner. Researchers have not yet wanted to take digitized image files with them. Just the laser prints. If they want a file, the researcher would have to provide their own blank disk. We do the scanning as an easy way of getting positive images of our negatives. Please post to the listserv a summary of your responses (or send me a copy).
Sincerely,

What are your policies regarding formats, costs, etc.? The Ohio Historical Society is thinking about this as an alternative to the traditional photo-duplication. You can respond directly to me and I will be happy to share the information with the list if there's interest.Thanks.
