Hello fellow libs,I'm writing a research paper on providing intellectual access to images, including indexing what the image is "about" vs. what the image is "of", current knowledge/research, some of the difficulties with image indexing and classification, and how these difficulties can be solved or improved.
I'm having trouble finding adequate research to cite for my paper. Can anyone suggest any good journal articles they've seen on this topic? I've been looking at JASIS and Searcher, and some others. Any suggestions or citations would be great.
I've also been searching Dialog (LISA and ERIC mostly) with the query:
ss images and access and (cataloging or indexing)
and coming up with extremely relevant hits, but in limited numbers. Again, any suggestions, especially searching tips would be extremely appreciated. (Should I try Lexis-Nexis?)
Thanks for the input! Caroline B.
