BRANCH MANAGER
Full time Manager position available at a general purpose library in the
Wentzville/ Lake St. Louis area. Manager is responsible for the daily
operations and staffing of the branch. Other duties include heavy public
service responsibilities providing reference services using traditional and
electronic sources, materials selection, collection management including
electronic information delivery resources, development of instructional
materials and providing library instruction in a variety of formats,
especially for electronic resources. Work schedule includes day, evening
and weekend hours.
Must have 3 years of relevant experience and an accredited Masters in
Library Science. Prefer experience in management, bibliographic
instruction, and use of computers, online services and the Internet.
Excellent benefits and salary from $39,048 to $46,908 for MLS and $43,572
to $52,392 for second masters.
The St. Charles City-County Library District was ranked 8th in a nationwide
survey of
404 public libraries serving populations over 100,000. It was the only
public library in the State of Missouri that was ranked in the top ten.
