Ah. The reason I'd cross-posted at a certain point was because discussion had begun to swing around to determining what metadata elements were fundamental in cataloging any given WWW object -- certainly [presumably] a topic of interest to those cataloging the web.
The post here, though, was definitely a stray, looped in through the replying of someone on the URC list. I should have removed WEBCAT from the CC when I saw that.
It does raise some good questions, though. What falls within the scope of this list? In general, all we have are our best judgements. I admit that I tend to favor cross-fertilization more often than most are used to.
I suppose we're determining scope as we go along; I for my part will be even more selective in the future.
