At Yale we would like to customize the longview of a record in terms of
presentation and content. One way that ALS told us that we could do this was
by using the application CONMAN to edit the Z39.50 attribute file for a
database.

For the purposes of presentation, in CONMAN under the longview it is possible to edit (1) labels (2) tags, (3) groups, and (4) schemas. For each one of these elements there is an edit field which indicates that it is possible to insert 0 or more blank lines after each element. Does anybody know if this data is processed by WEBPAC? In addition for the elements schema and tag does anybody know if WEBPAC will process html tags that are entered in the prefix and suffix fields of there two elements? I would also like to speak with any user who has successfully modifed the display of the longview in any way.

In terms of content has anybody successfully used CONMAN to add a tag and subfield to an existing group?

Thank You,

David
