Subject: Access to Journal Info. in WebPAC


None of the WebPAC's I've browsed provided the level of access to
journal information found in the regular OPAC interface. In particular,
the option 'V' to search for a specific volume was absent from those WebPAC.
One of the WebPACs contained a long listing of item records for a serial
which would have caused the 'Find specific volume' option to appear in
the non-Web interface.


Is this option not at all available in the WebPAC, or are some libraries
making the decision locally to withhold it?
Also, are there any shortcomings of the WebPAC with regard to accessing
journal information we should consider before selecting the WebPAC?
