This isn't a perfect solution (and is hardly intuitive), but I can search for a specific serial volume by number or date on our WebPAC by using a feature of Netscape. The version I have has a FIND button (with a picture of binoculars). Click once on FIND and it brings up a dialog box; put a year or volume number in the box, click on Find Next, and it will take you to the first occurence of that year or number.
