Time, Space, Matter and the Milky Way:
Facet Analysis of the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH)

For my ever-ending (yes, it is _still_ ever-ending) review of 'neo-conventional' thesauri, I am interested in learning of _any effort than has performed a Faceted Analysis of the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH).

I'm particularly interested in the any application of the philosophy of Dr. Facet, S.R. Ranganthan, of Facet Analysis to LCSH. Other efforts to Facet LCSH are also of interest. In one or more of his writings, Dr. R categorized ALL of KNOWLEDGE into Four Major Facets:

Time Space Energy Matter Personality

[He didn't say anything about the Milky Way (that I know about), but I like the Candy Bar {:->]

As always, any citations, suggestions, reactions, critiques, comments, insights [faceted or otherwise] will be most welcome.

Thanks

P.S. How About a Conference on Ranganthan to Recognize Dr. R's contribution to 21st century IR? He _was_ a Mind A Head of It's Time [:->]
