If you were to classifiy a collection of electronic texts, then what
classification scheme would you use?

As you may or may not know, I have (poorly) maintained a collection of electronic texts call Alex. It is currently at:

http://www.lib.ncsu.edu/staff/morgan/alex/

I am very seriously thinking about moviing this resource out from under out gopher server (finally) and will try to maintain the collection. In the process, I am considering employing a "standard" classification scheme to its contents. In scope, the collection is/will be a collection of "classic" texts. If you were to pick a classification scheme/scheule, then what scheme/schedule would you choose?
