I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't find anything in the WEBCAT-L archive.I am the administrator of a smallish corporate library, looking for a simple OPAC with Web access and circulation info in the hits (i.e., when you find a book, you can tell if it's checked out). Hopefully, this is also customizable. It seems that most of the simple systems don't support circulation, and most OPACs with circ info have a lot more bells and whistles (and cost big bucks) than we want or need!
Another staff member is looking into database management software (probably BASIS or Cuadra Star) and we could always add another module to that, but I just thought there should be something out there for just a simple catalog/circ system.
Does anyone have or know of such a system? What are the approximate costs? We would like to have something in place by the end of the year (if possible).
Thanks,
Donna Hopkins
